Membership:
Ø All
students (Classes I to XII), as well as the teachers and non-teaching staff of
the school, are eligible for library membership.
Borrowing
Books:
Ø Books
will be loaned for a period of 7 days.
Ø If
there is no demand for the books, they may be reissued at the discretion of the
librarian after the initial loan period of 7 days.
Ø The
librarian can recall any books on loan if they are urgently required in the
library, even if they are not yet due for return.
Ø Reference
books are not to be issued on loan.
Ø Library
books must be returned at least one week before leaving the station, taking a
break, or one month before any vacation.
Ø A
‘No Dues Certificate’ must be obtained from the librarian when withdrawing any
student from the school.
Ø A
student from class VI to XII can issue only one books at a
time.
(Loss
or Damage):
Ø A
member will be charged the original cost of any lost or damaged books or
periodicals.
Discipline:
Ø All
readers are required to maintain discipline in the library.
Ø Complete
silence must be observed in the library.
Ø Books
and periodicals should not be underlined, marked, or damaged in any way.
Ø Umbrellas,
bags, boxes, etc., must be kept at the property counter.
Ø Reference
books, magazines, and periodicals are to be read only in the reading section.
Ø No
students are allowed to remain in the library during teaching periods.
